Police Identifies, Arrests Officers who Dehumanise Lady in a Viral video


The police has said that it has identified and arrested the officers and civilian involved in the dehumanization of one Towobola.

The arrested officers had gone to the home of a suspected kidnapper and armed robber to arrest him and met the 25-year-old lady.

The policemen, after taking the kidnap suspect away, faced Towobola, handcuffed her and accused her of sleeping with the alleged kidnapper.

One of the police officers who identified himself as ‘Wyclef’, brought out his phone and started to film the Tobowola as he asked her questions about her sex life.

The video went viral and stirred criticism on the internet .

In a statement released by the force, it promised to initiate appropriate disciplinary procedure once investigations are concluded .

The statement signed by Police Public Relations Officer, Frank NBA, reads, “Following investigations into the dehumanizing treatment of a female citizen as shown in a viral video on Wednesday, 22nd July, 2020, the Nigeria Police Force have identified three police officers and one civilian accomplice who participated in the unprofessional act.

“Two suspects, ASP Tijani Olatunji and Inspr Gboyega Oyeniyi have been arrested for their role in the discreditable conduct and incivility to a member of the public. They are currently being detained at the Lagos State CID detention facility, Panti, Yaba.

“Preliminary investigations show that the policemen who are attached Area ‘A’ Command, Lion Building, Lagos, were on legitimate investigation activities to Ibadan, Oyo State where the incident took place.

“Effort is being intensified to arrest the two other accomplices. Meanwhile, appropriate disciplinary procedure will be initiated as soon as investigations are concluded”.

Chris represents, it was gathered that he has performed excellently in Youth and Women Empowerment, infrastructural development, rural economic re-engineering and poverty reduction. 
Amb. Jonathan Daniel also added that Arise O Nigeria (Anambra State Chapter) described Hon Chris as a man of great character and wonderful temperament who enjoys splendid reputation for integrity, honesty and loyalty. It is also gathered that he has demonstrated great energy, enthusiasm & resourcefulness in service to his constituency, worked assiduously to the actualization of a lot of projects that has major impact to his constituency. Few amongst them are the ‘Nnewi Automotive Industrial Park (NAIP)’, ‘Nnewi Independent Power 
Plant’ and most conspicuous is the reactivation project of the Nnewi Federal Housing Scheme (Social Housing) that has been 
abandoned since the late 1970’s.

Rt. Hon. Chris Emeka Azubogu hails from Umudim, Nnewi in Nnewi North LGA of Anambra State.
He attended Umunnealam Primary School, Umudim, Nnewi Anambra State, where he obtained his FSLC in 1980. He proceeded to Okongwu Memorial Grammar School Nnewi, 
Anambra State, where he completed his secondary education in 1985 and passed his WASC in flying colours. 
He gained admission into University of Nigeria, Nsukka, where he obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering in 1990. He proceeded to serve his Fatherland in the National Youth Service Corp (NYSC) between 1990 – 1991. 
Before delving into the turbulent waters of Nigerian politics, Hon. Chris ventured into Private Business and Public Service Consultancy that spanned 1991 – 2011 where he garnered alot of experience transforming him into a successful Entrepreneur and a 
Communication/ICT Consultant. Between 2011 and date, he attended various business, leadership and developmental trainings some of which are; 
✓“Certificate on Infrastructure in Market Economy” at Harvard Business School 2019, 
✓ “Certificate on Legislative Drafting” from Tulane Law Center; Tulane University in the year 2014. 

Azubogu joined politics fully in 2010 as a Member of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) under which platform he contested to represent Nnewi North, Nnewi South and Ekwusigo Federal Constituency in 2011 and won. While in the 7th Assembly, he held various positions including the Deputy Chairman House Committee on Capital Market and Institutions, Member House Committees on Power, Aids, Loans and Debt Management, ICT, Interior and Agriculture. He is a very committed man of keen industry who has demonstrated his fortitude in hard work and dedication to duty in various outstanding capacities.
Rt. Hon. Chris Emeka Azubogu has continued as an Entrepreneur, Politician and Leader of his group wherever he finds himself. He is still being trailed by stories of success in the service of his people as he leaves no stone un-turned in the discharge of his duties through the believe that Leadership is a call to service and a responsibility where honesty and integrity cannot be eschewed.
As a strong believer in leadership through service, Hon Azubogu took the bar of service to the people higher between 2011 and 2015, this not only made for him a host of friends both within and outside the three LGAs he represented but also earned him a ticket in People's Democratic Party (PDP) where he contested and won another term in the House of Representatives in 2015. He served as the Deputy Chairman; House Committee on Appropriation and also a member of the Committees on Science and Technology, Industries, Commerce, Telecommunication, Urban Development and Regional Planning, IDPs, and Human Right. In the just concluded 2019 general election, he won overwhelmingly to represent his constituency for the third time 2019 -2023. He is now serving as member House Committee on Appropriation amongst other Committees. He is happily married with children.

Press Release: H.E Sadiq Mohammed Partners AU & other Security Agency to Fight Insurgency in Sokoto State.

Following the insurgence , crime rate & level of insecurity in Sokoto State, Founder / Chairman of EL-SADIQ CHARITY  & EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION, His Excellency Mohammed Abubakar Sadiq is set to engage over 10,000 Vigilantes and youths referred to as Joint Security Task Force  (JSTF) who will be recruited to assist Security agencies  in keeping  the peace in  Local Government Councils of Sokoto State, Nigeria .

As a concern citizen and a passionate Humanitarian who has the interest of the indigenes at heart, Sadiq M. Abubakar had a closed discussion with Amb. (Dr) Jonathan Daniel, African Union (AU Agenda 2063) Ambassador for Peace & National development where he narrated several security issues including killings, kidnappings, robbery etc possing a high level threats to life and properties in sokoto state with plans and steps of curbing this menace as it will be relayed officially to Media personells, journalists etc through a press conference scheduled to hold at the African Union ECOSSOC Secretariat, Conference hall at Maitama Abuja.  
This Project is supported by African Union (AU ECOSSOC Nigeria) as part of it's project tagged "Silencing the Guns". The Military, Police & DSS will be informed adequately..

"Working tools, Security gadgets, patrol Vehicles and payment of monthly allowances is fully in place to enhance the operation of these vigilante groups. All these efforts are geared towards providing adequate security to Local Communities, thereby establishing civil authorities as deliberate steps which are taken to complement  the efforts of the current State Government and Security agencies to ensure that peace is restored in the state. His Excellency Sadiq" said .
