Halliday, a young guest lecturer at the California State University, in a statement to commemorate the 2017 International Day of Women, said that the event, World African Women Leaders Forum and Honours (WAWLF&H) will avail a platform for distinguished personalities of both genders to have a developmental discourse on issues surrounding leadership in Africa and the role of women.
“The forum envisions a world where amazing things can happen when empowered men and women broaden perspectives and harness values positively while giving a platform where every girl receives quality education, her inherent potential is fully realized and she is able to influence her world.
WAWLF&H- a global platform, will discover, honour and celebrate women who demonstrate authentic leadership that will empower others to follow. Each year we will celebrate fifteen amazing women on national stage.
“Through our digital community, we will be amplified by 15 million, sharing these experiences with the world. Over the next 13 years (in line with UN Women Vision 2030),we expect a change in the narrative of leadership, a positive shift in paradigm and a change in the conversation where the world will fully embrace female leadership,” she said. ..
